Create excel for some of the service ticket fields and add it as attachment

Hi,

We are trying to create excel and add data into excel file for some of service ticket fields. We have checked below link to create and generate pdf https://answers.sap.com/questions/11236812/sap-cloud-sdk-create-generate-pdf-using-button-and.html.

We want to achieve similar functionality for excel file.

Could you please provide help in this.

Adding an attachment to the attachment folder will be done the same way --- the key issue is that there's no built-in method to generate Excel files as far as I'm aware. You can add binary objects, but you'd have to somehow generate the base64-encoded binary and use that to add a file.

We are able to add excel file as attachment, But unable to add data into excel. How can we add data using binary object into excel.

Thanks Lewis for the answer. You were right, there is no built in method to generate excel file, we raised SAP incident and they also said that this functionality is not available.

we achieved this functionality with CSV file.
