Hi,

I found one material where in product hierarchy 92059548B721403 maintained in Basic data1 view and another product hierarchy 92059548AN48918 maintained in sales:Sales.Org.2.

here my doubts are:why we need to maintain product hierarchy in two different place and what is the purpose?

Can somebody throw light on my doubts, please?

Product hierarchy in Basic data view stored in table MARA-PRDHA, but product hierarchy in sales view stored in table MVKE-PRODH.

Because MVKE table have field 'material number', 'sales organisation' and 'distribution channel' as table key, then you can define different product hierarchy in same material base on different sales organisation and distribution channel.

Example, you have distribution channel 'A' for sell smartphone and distribution channel 'B' for sell smartphone accessories. You have material battery. In distribution channel 'A', battery product hierarchy is a part of smartphone, but in distribution channel 'B', battery product hierarchy is main part.
