use old material revision in production order and determine bom accordingly

All experts,

We have product with old revision.Some of customer need old revision of it;some other customer need new version of it. We need produce this product according to customer requirement.

But I did not see a place for user to choose revision when create order from CO01.

May you have any hint about how sap could realize this? I believe its common some customer need this version and some need another version in real life.

Alternative BOM and Production version concepts may satisfy your business need.

Kindly create one BOM with Old revision and and another BOM with new version

Production Version is a combination of Alternative BOM + Routing so you can create production versions PV01 and PV02

PV01 = BOM with Old revision +Routing

PV02 = BOM with new revision +Routing

In Customization OPL8 (Order type dependent parameter), you can select Production Version Selection as a manual selection.

Thereafter if you create a production order in CO01 Transaction Code, System will give pop-up window for the production version selection , here you can select either PV01 (BOM with Old revision) or PV02 (BOM with new revision) as per customer requirement.

By this way, you can create production order by Old or New version.
