Deploy WebIDE proyect into SAP

Hi experts,

I am trying the following steps to deploy a SAPUI5 WebIDE application into SAP:

  1. Create a SAPUI5 Project on WebIDE from template
  2. Export the webapp folder
  3. Create a new SAPUI5 proyect on Eclipse
  4. Import the exported webapp folder into the Eclipse project WebContent folder
  5. Share the project into my SAP system
  6. Submit all the project files into SAP

Expected result:

  • The application is now on the SAP system and can be executed from the se80 T-code

Current result:

  • The application is now on the SAP system but when executing it on Internet Explorer from the se80 T-code I get the following error and nothing is displayed

I cannot find any other step that I have to make in order to deploy my application into SAP.

Please, let my know if I am missing anything.

    I have found what was causing the error.

    First of all, I want to menthion that the steps that I follow to deploy a SAPUI5 into SAP might not be the best, but they work and are easy to follow.

    An finally, about the error:

    It was as simple as adding the next meta into my index file (I completely forgot about them and thats why it did not work on IE)

        	<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
        	<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=11" />
        	<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10" />

    On the next days I will try to do a tutorial on how to deploy a project this way.
    Thank you everyone for your help.

    You shouldn't deploy your apps like that. Take a look on this tutorial on how to properly setup your SAP system on your SCP with Cloud Connector: https://blogs.sap.com/2019/03/27/how-to-guide-connectivity-setup-with-abap-and-sap-cloud-connector/

    1) Time to take a search and look up how to do that than. It wil make your life easier.

    2) What do you mean with verify? See the code or launch the program?

    1) Why would you export from webide to eclipse when you can publish to SAP from Webide?

    2) You cannot execute fiori applications from SE80, you have to access them via the launchpad (first create the necessary catalog and group/tile/...)
