Excel Add-in & SAP BO Analysis concurrently launched from BPC web - CITRIX

Hi,

Our users open Excel EPM Add-in launched from web IE, all through citrix session

versions are

  • Excel Add-in 10.0 SP 29 .NET 4.5
  • Office version : MS Excel 2016
  • IE : 11.0.9600.19078
  • Citrix : citrix 7.15 LTSR
  • Windows server 2012 R2 64 bits

The issue, which is non reproductible, is that when users're logging into SAP BPC web interface(IE) and try to launch Excel, there are TWO EPM tabs that appear in Excel. When we look deep in it : there are two version of EPM add-in that appear

two-addins-sap-bpc.jpg.

  1. SAP BusinessObjects Analysis Version : 2.4.2.67253 - which a wrong version, our reports Don't work with it, and we can't succeed to remove it or uninstall it with Citrix (excel feature to uncheck a comm add-in is disabled by citrix)
  2. SAP EPM Solution Version 10.0 SP 29 .NET 4.5 - which is our usual version, but the version 2.4... seems to take the control of the grids. When we Don't experiment the issue, this is the version normally displayed.(because it appears randomly, we Don't know what reproduces it)

We don't know what make these two different programs runs concurrently when launched from web interface. we Don't know wy Analysis seem to run in priority vs EPM.

In the Add/Remove Software of the citrix server config pane, we see both programs

  1. EPM add-in for Microsoft Office
  2. SAP BusinessObjects Analysis

We try to uninstall the 2. "SAP BusinessObjects Analysis" but it blocks all the other BPC programs.

What works for now is we reset the citrix profile. But it doesn't prevent the problem to appear some weeks later.

Any help would be great.

Thank you

Try to uninstall completely both EPM and AO. Then install only EPM.

Have to repeat again: "Try to uninstall completely both EPM and AO. Then install only EPM."

Thank you Vadim, we'll do this after budget period passes. we Don't want to take the risk to lose all clients in the middle of this intensive period.

I'll let you know then if the problem's solved
