Enable material description tab in mm01

Hi i was creating a new material in MM01 but in basic data my material description tab was not enable can any one help

Materiel description field may be DISPLAY for your case- You need to keep that field as required or optional entry. Refer and check to keep that field as you needed

GO to spro > MATERIALS MANAGEMENT> BASIC SETTINGS and enable or customize the tab there you can find it

I suppose that this is related to the screen sequence which is determined for your userID/material type/industry sector/transaction screen reference.

If you are a consultant start by checking the settings in OMT3Z and OMT3E.

If you are a business user - submit a ticket to your local support desk (you have no authorization to view or modify the settings).

In OMT3Z you set what screens should be used for a certain screen sequence.

In OMT3B you specify the data screens and sub-screens in the screen sequence.

In OMT3E you assign the screen sequence to a combination of various criteria like material type screen reference, industry sector, transaction code reference, user ID.
