Issue in status change of Work item ID

Dear Eexperts,

When I am trying to change the status of work Item ID By using the FM : SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE

Function module is giving error as ''LINE Work item 000006128155: Method SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE not allowed for type F''.

Can anybody Suggest how to Change the status of work item ID ASAP.

Regards,

Ankamma.

  • Hi Ankamma,

If you are trying to kill a running workflow from some other program, may I recommend you use a terminating event? You can define any sort of terminating event for your workflow/Business Object (such as FIPP.KILL_WORKFLOW) and simply use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT to publish this event.

It provides you with some transparency as far as knowing what happened to stop the workflow and you can also control the events using the Event Queue.

    Just my 2p,

    Sue

PS: But everybody here knows how much I love events :-)

    Hi,

You can complete workitems using the technical log. What are you trying to achieve here?

    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans
