Hello All,
I m getting following two warnings while activating planning area
1)Time-independent attr. as KF UOMCONVERSIONFACTOR: Periods or Time Ref. Attr. specified.
2)Attr. as KF Capacity Supply: From Per. and/or To Per., or Time Ref. Attr. must be spec
I have checked but i don't have idea about what will be the form period and to period for these KF or what will be the time reference attribute
Can anyone please suggest me on this?
Regards
Abhijeet
1) UOMCONVERSIONFACTOR usually is a time-independent KF, and the message states that time-independent KF shall not have "Periods or Time Ref. Attr. specified"
--> go into app "Planning Area" on the tab for "attributes as key figure" and search for UoM conversion. Likely the fields "From Period" and "To Periods" have a value (or more unlikely the field "Time Reference Attribute"), remove them. If that is not the case, screenshot of the config would be helpful.
2) same app, same setting, just for a different attribute as key figure. In this case, you SHOULD specify a from and to value.
Those fields define for which horizon the planning combination of the given planning level is automatically be initialized. If values are defined for time-INdepent key figure attributes, this gives a warning because you specify time-values for non-time-dependent KF. I you have a time-depending KF attribute such as Capacity Supply, you SHOULD specify the horizon as otherwise the whole planning level will be initialized for the whole past and future periods of the planning area. Usually the from-value should be 0, meaning no historical horizon. For the future, just pick as much as necessary but not more. Most common use case to initialize more than just one or two periods is if you use some disaggregation logic on the planning level for which you need initialized periods.
VERY BIG SIZING / PERFORMANCE IMPACT!!!
