Simplification of PCRs in SAP HR Time Management

Hello,

I am working on analyzing PCRs and Schemas in Time Management in order to simplify them (reduce the number of the lines).Since I shouldn’t play with Rules by making some changes in client system, I have done changes in IDES system and comparing TE log from IDES to client system to ensure the same results for input, process and output.

1)I have modified PCR-ZODX based on: - Single *, Double *, Triple ***, the reason being we don't have any personnel subarea/areas defined with single *, double *, triple *** and employee subgroups defined with single *.

2)For PCR-ZODX, under processing ‘S’, when I try to delete the lines having single *, double**, triple*** under OUTWPPLTSC and single * under OUTWPPLANT, I am getting error message as per attached snapshot. How can I simplify the lines starting with employee subgroup grouping for PCR is S. Please help.

Ok, Now can please check if it is errorfree and also there is an error in the current PCR that is as per below

OUTWPPLANT that is 4 digits and here you are Querying directly personnel areas with 4 digits. it should also query with single Digit to three Digit as per below.

In the attached file with name- rule-zodx-client, this is the original PCR from client sytem,I have not done any changes in this PCR. I have copied this rule into IDES system and made changes( removed *, **and *** for simplification ) in the attached file with name-rule-zodx-ides, this is the modified PCR from IDES system.My query is what is the overall impact if I remove lines with single * to triple *** .

Another query is:-

Can you please correct syntax of your PCR, As your PCR name is ZODX when you are using to call it via GCY it should be ZODXU , ZODUB
