Error when reading fiscal year variant XX for date mm/dd/yyyy

610 Views Last edit Oct 22, 2019 at 09:20 AM 3 rev

There is a DP planning area (100% time series key figures) that is initialized from 12/01/2017 to 10/31/2020

It has a storage bucket profile with week, month and posting periods checked with fiscal year variant with periods maintained until 12/31/2022. This fiscal year variant is year dependent.

The storage bucket profile also has a horizon defined from 01/01/2017 to 12/31/2022

No time stream is assigned to the planning area.

Upon trying to initialize this planning area from 12/01/2017 to 12/31//2021 or even 31/12/2022, I get an error message as seen above. This is irrespective of the end date i mention in the time series creation program (TSINIT). E..g. i entered end date as 05/31/2021 and I get this message. I enter end date as 12/31/2021, I get the same message as below.

Questions

1. What damn factory calendar is this referring to when there is no factory calendar used anywhere?

2. For how far do I maintain the fiscal year variant when I need to initialize only until end of 2021?

The message description reads thus

Error when reading fiscal year variant Z1 for date 01/01/2023

Message no. /SAPAPO/PRP110

Diagnosis

An error occurred when the system tried to read the fiscal year variant Z1 for the the date 01/01/2023. This date possibly does not exist in the factory calendar because it is too long in the future.

Procedure

First check the date entry. If the entry is correct, contact your system administration.

Procedure for System Administration

Check whether fiscal year variant Z1 has maintained for date 01/01/2023 and if necessary update it.
