SAP S/4 HANA TM GTS Integration

I am new to SAP. I am looking for a high-level answer. In SAP S/4 HANA, how is Basic Transportation Management (TM) integrated with Global Trade Services (GTS)? Is it with SAP Netweaver PI? Any help/documentation would be helpful. Thanks.

SAP GTS integrates with SAP TM (in S/4 HANA) for following processes:

1. Customs Export Declaration
2. Compliance Check (SPL and embargo)

These interfaces need SAP PO as an intermediate layer to exchange XML messages. You can find more information in the SAP GTS Configuration Guide published by SAP.
