Fixed Machine Hours in resource

Dear Experts,

I have 24 furnaces and for one furnace capacity is 500 KG and it takes 35 hours to roast which is fixed means what ever qty of order it takes 35 hours to roast. I have 3 activities FOH, MAC, LAB my machine hours are always 35 as fixed. How to get capacity of furnace so user should know how many furnaces are in use dependent of order qty.

Lets say i have a order of 1500 KG means 3 furnaces are required for 35 hours as each furnace capacity is 500KG.

Please tell me how to capture this scenario?

There are two things here one capacity calculation and another is scheduling.

If you run the furnace resource always for 35 Hrs with multiple capacity use the fixed duration for scheduling as 35 Hrs. with Processing formula like SAP004 Fixed machine = Machine time

For capacity you can define processing formula like SAP002 Variable machine =

Machine time * Operation quantity / Base quantity.

Maintain recipe / routing with base quantity of 500 KG and machine duration as 35 Hrs with required splitting active.

Also in resource/ work-center maintain working hrs as 24 with No. of indiv. cap. = number of furnaces you have.

In material master maintain the minimum lot size and rounding value as 500

So all your order will be in multiple of 500 and scheduling will be 35 hrs for this order and capacity calculation will be as per order quantity.

    Best Regards,
