Need to Move in SAP Domain from IT

Hi All,

I am Currently having an Experience of 2 Years in IT domain as an Technical Support Engineer. Now I really wanted to move in SAP. So please let me know if it is good to move in into the SAP Basis, Suggested by some of my colleague's.

But if I google about it for SAP Basis and Future of it, I see there are lot of negative comments on it.So kindly suggest me as a IT person what will be good for me in SAP.

I am from Technical Background as well.

Please do share your thoughts on this and will be helpful for me.
