Up to Lumira 2.2 "Drill-up" and "Drill-down" only work to navigate along so-called "Drill-path". Those are sorted lists of Dimensions. Assuming you are clicking on a MemberaA from DimensionA, and DimensionB is the next in the DrillPath. Drill-down would set a filter to MemberA, remove DimensionA and replace it with DimensionB.

Drill-up is the opposite. Currently as-far-as I know you can only create DrillPaths in Discovery - or use a HANA level-based Hierarchy which is automatically converted to a Drill-Path.

There is also a "Drill-down..." entry where you chose the target dimension from a list. For this there is no "Drill-up", because Lumira doesn't know the target Dimension. You could enable Undo-/Redo-stack and use "Back on step".

In Lumira 2.3 there is also the new features "Drill-down Hierarchy" and "Drill-up Hierarchy" which drill along BEx hierarchies (expand a node and set a filter and vice versa).
