Hello everybody,
I have a question regarding SAC connections with SAML authentification. Is it possible to have a SAML authentification at SAC connections (e.g. BW, HANA) even though the authentification at SAC is not done via a custom identity provider?
At the moment, I know 2 SAML-scenarios in SAC context:
- Logon at SAC using SAML-authentification via a custom identity provider
- SAML-authentification at SAC connections
Best regards,
Dominic Bayer
Hi Dominic,
No, to be able to configure SAML SSO to a data source like BW or HANA, you first need to implement SAML SSO to the SAC tenant using the same custom IDP.
In which scenario would you like to implement SSO only to the backend system and not to the tenant?
Kind regards,
