Vendor Payment Credit Limit

Hello experts,

I met a problem. I know there are no credit limits for vendor in SAP. But my client has the following scenarios:

1. They are mainly focusing on the A/P. Some vendors told them if the amount on the invoice is greater than the limit they set in their ERP systems, they require my client to pay them immediately. For example, a vendor name's payment term in our SAP is "Pay within 30 days", and they set the limit is $50,000. we purchased goods that is worth 60k. They tell us we need to pay immediately because of the limit. My client wants to get this function: if the amount is greater than 50k, in the AP part, this transaction becomes "due today" rather than "Pay within 30 days".

2. vendors require us to pay a part of the invoice first immediately and then pay the else within 30 days.

I don't know how to set it in the system. Please help!

    Hi Zach,

    1. Create a substitution (tx OBBH). If vendor is in SET XXX and amount is less (or between) then set payment terms to ZZZZ. You might need a BADI for MIRO, MRM_PAYMENT_TERMS

    2. You could use "Installment Payment Terms" (tx OBB9) but the problem with this is generally how much to pay now and how much to pay after and when.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards
