mass Bin to Bin transfer in EWM

Hi,

I have about 3500 entries for a Bin to Bin transfer. In each entry, the Source and Destination bin is different. The product is not HU managed. So using /SCWM/ADPROD on foreground and pasting different Destination Storage bin for 3500 different lines, is not an option.

I tried to create LSMW using /SCWM/ADPROD for a mass Bin to Bin transfer. However, though LSMW is populating all the data itself using the recorded commands but the command for 'Create Warehouse Task + Save' doesn't execute automatically ,no matter, I use foreground or background mode to LSMW.

Any idea of how we can do a mass Bin to Bin transfer in EWM?

P.S. - I know we can use Inventory Write off onto old bin and Write on to the new Bin, but that is not the primary choice.

    Amit,

While you are saving LSMW records on EWM screens you shouldn't use the buttons. Why? Because it ussually generates a function code with the same key. (Ex: %_GC 116 1) So it doesn't make any sense for EWM, either when you are using Create+Save button or Refresh button on the screen while you are saving LSMW records.

You need to use real/systematical function codes (as a transaction code) while you are saving your LSMW record.

In your case; while you are saving your record you need to use funciton code OK_OIP_CREATE_POST_MAT_TO.

It is easy, don't use the Create+Save button, use the funciton code as a transaction code. It will save your document.

You can also test it directly on /SCWM/ADPROD without LSMW to see if it is working or not.

    • Thanks Levent,

It did work as a magic, I replace the key (e.g. %_GC 118 1) with function code OK_OIP_CREATE_POST_MAT_TO.

I wish there was 1:1 assignment with Function code and buttons. However, SAP must have thought of something when created this way.

      I am glad you helped.

      Cheers,

      Amit

...what is the issue with ADPROD transaction using list view and copy paste whole list of destination bins into the corresponding column of the grid?

    Hi Hendrik,

It's easy said than done. Simply because you can copy 25 lines at a time on window and on the top of that you have to rearrange the source bins the way the transaction displays in order to put the correct quantity in to correct Dest. Bin. so if can copy 25 lines only at a time, to reach to 3500 I have to do this task more than 100 times. This is a tedious job as you can see. A LSMW would have been better.

    • I would do the following which would probably not take more than 10min:

      - have an excel with source & destination bin and sort by source bin

      - select all your quants in scwm/adprod tx and sort by sort bin

      - scroll down in the ALV until all lines are fetched by the system

      - copy paste the destination bin column from excel to adprod grid (you can take the whole 3500 lines at once)

Fill the other columns with mass update.

      Save & create

      Done.
