S4HANA transporting embedded BW objects issue

Hi all,

in our S4 system (1709), within embedded BW;

  • I have created three new input queries on an existing Aggregation Layer
  • And one new query on an existing Multi Provider

In the transport I only collected the query elements, however the transport will not release as it says

  1. Object ELEM 003YQMJX9249YS5UEMLIZIHVS needs object ALVL /ERP/SFIN_A01; latter is not in a request
  2. Object ELEM 003YQMJX924BP2VTPTQN0K70W needs object CTRT /ERP/SFIN; latter is not in a request
  3. Object ELEM 003YQMJX924BP2VTPTQN0K70W needs object MPRO /ERP/SFIN_M01; latter is not in a request

The errors above are for the Aggregation Layer, Infoarea and MultiProvider, however these associated objects already exist in the target system, so why do I need to bring them in as I have not changed these at all?

I did note that in the target system, the above objects are in the $TMP package.

So will including these "missing" objects in the transport with a different package i.e. ZBW cause any problems in the target?

Thanks,

Shane.

Hi Shane,

this sound like the objects were activated in production separatly and not transported from development.

Are they already used in production?

If not, I would delete them before transport,

then collect them in development, assign them to a package and transsport them.

best regards

Cornelia

Thanks for the replay Cornelia.

Seems our S4 system was copied to new system to create Test, and the same Production etc.

This explains why the BW objects are in the package $TMP in the other systems.
