Hi all,

In official customer presentation for SAP IDM, there is a page of basic reports like this:

I understood this page as some default reports are provided with installation.

Am I right? Or wrong?

To use this kinds of reports, what should I do?

regards,

dongsu

The SAP IDM RDS (Rapid Deployment Solution) packages contain some reports. Those do not rely on BW, but use IDM's internal capabilities (specifically MX_REPORT objects) to generate HTML reports.

The following screenshot shows some report forms available in package com.sap.rds.idm.forms.default:

Hi Lambert,

It looks great.

Can we download it from service marketplace?

best regards,

Hi Lambert,

we download it and there are one schema file and several package files.

Is there any guide to install and use RDS?

Or just import schema first and then import package is OK?

dongsu

Sorry, can't help with that. I've never installed RDS on my own.

I'm surprised there still is a RDS for 8.0 available. I thought it was not supported for 8.0? oO

.

Steffi.

RDS is officially retired nowadays, see SAP note

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2624206

But it used to be advertised for release 8.0 explicitly, e.g. in Kristian's blog

https://blogs.sap.com/2016/11/10/idm-rds-the-new-rapid-deployment-solution-for-sap-identity-manageme...

From my personal experience, many 8.0 installations implemented by SAP field services have RDS deployed. So I think it's fair to say that even though there's no official support, it works in practice, as far as I can see.

Hi Dongsu,

as Lambert already mentioned, these reports are content of the former RDS. Unfortunately the RDS program has been retired (see note 2624206). The content is managed by SAP consulting now. If you want to utilize it for your project, you are required to involve SAP Consulting.

Hello Dongsu,

this might be from the IDM reports, that you can activate/deploy in BW. It's some time ago that I checked this out, so I'm not completely sure here. But in my memory it looked similar to your screenshot.

There were several standard reports they shipped out with the package.

As I said, it's some time ago I looked at this for our 7.2 installation, so it might have changed now. I don't even know if this exist for 8.0.

.

I wanted to have another look next year, because I'd love some reporting possibilities for my colleagues (and me).

.

Regards,

Steffi.

EDIT: Looks like it's still a thing for 8.0, but not really easy or fast to set up: Identity Reporting Using SAP Business Warehouse
