I am using SAP byDesign, and I am tryting to setup parent child relations for my customer.
Can this be done after the fact.
How would you go about setting the relationship
Thanks
Hi Walter
This is pretty simple, you have 2 choices.
1. You can set up a "Parent-of" and "child Of" role for the accounts. This is in the collaboration area of the account master.
or
2, You can create Account Hierarchies from within the Account Management Workcenter.
Account Hierarchies can be migrated if your implementation project is still open. And the party roles can be added to existing accounts using the update feature of the customer migration object, again if your implementation project is open.

Hi John,
I have a follow-up question on this topic, if you don't mind?
I don't see the option in account management, Contact, Relationship option for "Parent-of" / "Child-of". Although i can see other options like "Is Ship-to Party of" / "Has Ship-to Party", or "Is the Bill-to Party of" / "Has the Bill-to Party", "Is the Payer-of" / "Has the Payer".
Do you know if any of these options has the ability to post the receivable account to the parent or head office, even if the sales transactions are posted against the child or branch account?
Regards,
Cathy
