Our employees say 10 people have 2 different payment requirements as follows -
- monthly fixed salary to paid on 25th of the month
- monthly reimbursement/allowance to be paid on 1st day of the following month.
Assume these 10 employees are assigned to the same payroll area, can this be arranged in SAP and how? As seems by reading the help pages/FAQ, one payroll area can only be processed once.
thank you very much
Ricky
To complete the case of possible solutions, however which I'd not recommend, we might also want to add to the list an opportunity to perform CDTB payment directly from IT0015 without production payroll run and technical advance with regular payroll (as it used to be before creating off-cycle functionality,- running payroll at desired dates and with moving payroll control record every time) 🙂

To fully answer your question, we would need to know about the other employees.
Are they also paid on a monthly basis?
- if yes, then you should look into Pay Date Modifiers
- if no, then you should look into creating a distinct Payroll Accounting Area
As for the "reimbursement/allowance to be paid on 1st day of the following month", perhaps you should look at Off-Cycle Payments.

Thanks Remi.
We have other temp employees who are assigned with another payroll area (eg HT). But for the above group (10) of permanent employee, we currently need to conduct 2 regular rounds of payroll processing to them (ie monthly salary and monthly allowance in 2 different dates)
My understanding is that we can not create 2 different payroll areas for these 10 employees - so we only assign these 10 employees in payroll area (say HP). Accordingly is it true that we should look for using “off cycle” payment for the reimbursement on a monthly basis with this HP payroll area?
Thank you very much
Hi Ricky,
Yes, periodicity is an integral characteristic of a payroll area and payroll control record, respectively. This is what it is all about
Off-cycles seem to be your direction to consider.
Kind regards,
Alex
