Dear all,

I have a question about a problem in the customer payment process with my printer, and for me it has been impossible to replicate the problem The problem is that sometimes my printer doesn´t print and I have to restart cco and my printer to be able to print again

I was able to identify in the CCO records some errors that I think are part of the problem, but I'm not sure

my printer´s model is EPSON TM- 88V and is conected by usb

I appreciate any response

Kind Regards

As suggested by anderson.schmitt it would be highly recommended to update to the latest patch, as there were multiple fixes on the PLs that followed PL02 regarding printing functionality, including specifically a better error-handling of the Epson JavaPOS API.

Another things you should probably look up:

  • update the TM-T88V with the latest firmware
  • update the Epson APD driver to the latest version (the JavaPOS libraries need the logical port deployed by the driver)
  • update the official Epson JavaPOS libraries with the latest version - which one are you using?
  • use the Epson SetupPOS tool to test the JavaPOS functionality ("CheckHealth") - does it work?
  • make sure the DIP Switches of the TM-T88V are set up correctly
  • make sure the interface host selection is set as USB (and not as "auto")

Hi Jhon,

The PL09 is the latest version of FP07 and only the latest version is available to download.

Hello Jhon,

I was able to reproduce the issue following the steps below:

  1. Create a receipt and print it
  2. Turn off the printer
  3. Create a new receipt and try to print it
  4. You will receive the message in the console "com.sap.vp.jpos.CPOSPrinterService - Printing on device (POSPrinter) has failed. Try to reprint ...com.sap.scco.hl.JposRuntimeException: The exclusive access right had not been acquired."

There was a fix regarding reprint issues in the version 2.0 FP07 PL05. See SAP Note 2794163 for further information.

I suggest you to install a new version of SAP Customer Checkout, then check if the issue will happen again

Anderson

Hello Anderson

thanks for answering

I tried to replicate the issue with all kinds of templates, with the template provide by SAP and also with our customized template, but normally the printer works without problem when i try to replicate, but my costumer told me that this issue is not always, but when the printer doesnt work, he tries to obtain logs and he sent me the images logs and specifically the message appear "The exclusive access right had not been aquired" and the printer works again restarting cco.

So I want to know if the specific error "The exclusive access right had not been aquired" is printer error or can be another thing, because is difficult replicate the issue

Kind Regards

Costumer´s Version FP07 PL02

Hello Jhon,

Are you using the standard print template provided by SAP?
Or, are you using a customized print template?
What is the version of SAP Customer Checkout?

If it is a customized template, try to use the standard template and check if you will face the same issue.

Anderson
