'SAP_CONVERT_XLS_FORMAT' generates a spreadsheet with invalid format with Excel 2016

Hello,

When using the FM 'SAP_CONVERT_XLS_FORMAT' to generate an excel, it works only if we are using Office 2013 or an older version.

When we tested on a workstation that has Office 2016, the excel generated has an invalid format and contains special characters only. The excel file is not readable by all Excel editions in this case.

Does 'SAP_CONVERT_XLS_FORMAT' use a local config of the current office version to generate an excel?

P.S : We replaced the 'SAP_CONVERT_XLS_FORMAT' by 'GUI_UPLOAD'. But since we use 'SAP_CONVERT_XLS_FORMAT' in so many programs, we would like to fix it instead of replacing it.

Thank you for sharing the SAP Note. We have made the changes specified in the KBA for the current program. However we would like to continue using this functional module since we are using in lots of programs.

Is it MS office 2016 64 bit? If it is yes then try to use the 32 bit of MS office 2016
