Invalid views on HANA

I have a BW 7.5 system running on HANA 1.0. So now that system should be migrated to HANA 2. Thanks to the endianness-conversion this is a big project. Now I heard that such a migration will fail if there are invalid views on HANA. Unfortunately we have 495 of them.

If a HANA calculation view has got the status IS_VALID=FALSE, can it be safely dropped? It sounds as if it cannot be used anyway. Or is there something which can be checked, e.g. whether users still try to access the calculation view?

Regards,

Mark

is there anyway you can do where used list on these views manually, I guess these CV's would be either Analytical or Attribute views. If you don't find any dependancy then you can go ahead delete it. In regression testing you can try to run the reports, if report fails then you can assume there is a depandancy

    Hello Bhaskar,

    Thanks for input.

But I am interested to know how this CV's are generated in System. Because, we have not created any CV's. Next thing is how to get the where used list of CV's (any program or any table)?

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Siva

Here is the SQL for the CV's across the system

    SELECT DISTINCT "CUBE_NAME"
    FROM "_SYS_BI"."BIMC_ALL_DIMENSIONS"
    ORDER BY 'CUBE_NAME' ASC
