Hi.
We have an S/4 HANA env based on SAP S/4 HANA 1809 FPS02, Fully-Activated Appliance.
I would like to know what the specific differences between client 300 and client 400 are. Please let me know!
I know the below information.
-300 Best Practices reference client(whitelist approach)
-400 Best Practices reference client(merged-000-client approach)
-And I've already read the following doc.
https://help.sap.com/viewer/S4HANA_1809_AdminGuide/17d958a88d244ee293aed687f9bfe37f.html
However, I couldn't understand what the specific differences were. tables, records, settings,,,
I would like to choose a client to evaluate functions ether 300 and 400.
I plan to select 400. Is it suitable?
Thanks in Advance.
Best regards.
Hi Kumiko,
yes, client 400 has the full client 000 copy, incl. all master data. Client 300 only the ones that come with the Best Practices (e.g. "Domestic Customer").
Best, Joerg

Hi Kumiko,
as mentioned in https://help.sap.com/viewer/S4HANA_1809_AdminGuide/fd93b08d6aeb46e7b39dd3f042d22cf0.html:
Table /FTI/TWHITEL01 contains the tables whose content is copied over into a white-list client (other 000 configuration tables will stay empty).
Using client 400 is a valid option, esp. if you plan to customize additional scenarios that go beyond the delivered Best Practices scope.
Best, Joerg

Hi Joerg,
thank you for your great support!
I want more information.
I think there are much more master data in client 400 than client 300.
ex. In client 300, there are 41 business partner records. But in client 400, there are over one thousand records.
Are there any differences between 300 and 400 regarding master data or demo data?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
