Webgui CL_GUI_ALV_TREE multiple select not working

Hello all,

has been sometime i have not been here to ask a question, so hope someone might help us as it is one of those tricky situation.

In transaction PTMW in the multi-person view, you are able to select multiple lines when using SAPGUI. But when accessing through MSS, meaning webgui, the ability to select multiple entries is not working. I have checked the underlying code and i see no difference, the create method of the tree is always invoked with multiple select enabled, regardless of the gui we are using. This happens in IE11.

Anyone else has had this issue ? I have looked for similar threads, found a few but none specific for this case.

Did you search the SAP notes? Or asked the SAP support?

Hello Sandra,

yes, regarding both. I have looked for OSS notes and we have an incident ongoing with SAP but was wondering if anyone already experienced it and solved it.

I have investigated further, found this happens in Chrome as well. There a few differences in the object created that lead me to believe this is more of a kernel issue due to the handling of the object in webgui. We are also exploring the option of updating the Kernel if it comes to that.
