bw input ready query with hierarchy issue

Dears,

i have an input ready query that includes a hierarchy with one of its segments.

this hierarchy has some parent nodes that include a single child.

when i select the single child, it automatically chooses its parent along with it and the query becomes read only.

on the other hand if i select a child of a parent that contains other children as well, the query is input ready and works fine.

so how can i input data on a lone child ?

note : all the children i am referring to are leaf nodes. ( lowest level members in the hierarchy )

i am using BW4/hana 2.0 with sap analysis for office 2.7

1 child under 1 parent

Could you please explain a bit more about the query design? This hierarchy is in drill down and has a hierarchy node filter or something?
