RAP with central Gateway hub

In the near future, when the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) is rolled out, will there still be a central Gateway hub deployment model in place?

I guess that the service definition and service binding (or only the binding?) then will take place in the central hub?

What is SAPs plan/suggestion in this case?
