C4C // Trigger calculated field processing

Hi experts,

we created a calculated field in the Sales Quote with KUT. The Calculation only occurs, if we make changes in the Quote. After that, the field is filled. Is there any possibility to trigger the calculation for the field in Background for specific Quotes, without manually save them? For Example a background process or something similar.

no ideas here? The Question is, are the calculated fields filled automatically during a background process or are they only gets triggered, if the source element is saved?

Hi,

Not sure if this is a ideal solution but in our project we used following approach many times:

1. A KUT Indicator field "ZUpdateIndicator" is craeted

2. Enable it for Data Work Bench via odata.

3. Once it is done then we export all the relevant data based on the business requirement using DWB

4. Mark the value of "ZUpdateIndicator" as TRUE. In such case if a logic is written in PDI or via workflow then correcpoding field value is updated.

5. IFor future senarios, reset the value of KUT field "ZUpdateIndicator" using a new workflow rule which will again toggel the value.
