SAP Analysis office idle timeout for BW backend system

Hey Guys...

We are on a BW 7.4 HANA system with AO 1.4 and 2.x used for planning work. All though we have an idle time out setting of 30 mins with the param below

rdisp/gui_auto_logout = 30 mins

The excel sessions if left idle (knowingly or accidentally) for few hours they still are active and we can enter values in there for input forms/Planning forms...Ideally this should time out in 30 mins if idle right?

Anyone facing this? And how did you fix it...played around with the

ANA_IDLE_TIMEOUT param in tcode RS_FRONTEND_INIT but that didnot seem to help.

Any inputs...much appreciated?

AO defaults to 1 day by design so not something that can be controlled .
