Changing from Perpetual Inventory to Non Perpertual Inventory

HI Experts

I have set my DB to perpetual inventory and the client decides to change it to non perpetual, I already have item master in my DB. As I searched, I need to remove the item master data before changing it to non perpetual. I remove my items using the clean up wizard. I also unchecked the calculate gross profit in the document settings > general tab. After doing all those, I still get the error "Item cost cannot be base price origin for gross profit calculation. [Administration - Perpetual Inventory Management]"

How do I change my current DB to a non perpetual inventory without creating a new DB?

Regards.

You need first to change your set up in Base Price origin. Choose any except Item cost before unchecking perpetual Inventory

Hello,

I have tried starting over a new database and I still get that error message whenever I unchecked the perpetual inventory.

What is the cause of this error? My SAP version is 9.3 PL06

Hello.

Yes I have disabled the checkbox. I still cannot change it. I also stopped some services and jobs, still not working.

This is all I have done:

1. Delete Item Master Data

2. Unchecked Calculate Gross Profit

3. Stop Event Sender and Job Mailer

Am I missing some steps? Please advise.

Thanks

I rechecked there are certain settings in B1 that cannot be reversed and unfortunately this is one of them.

So unless you had a backup, you nee to start from scratch.

Thanks.

Hello,

Have you tried change the the Base Price Origin to Last Purchase price under Administration->System Initialization->Document Settings-General Tab(Calculate Gross Profit) or disable the checkbox Calculate Gross Profit.

Thanks.
