SAP HCM Payroll - Post Tax Wage Type

I am configuring ROTH 401K plans for US and as part of it configured few wage types for deductions.

How do I set up the wage type as a post tax contribution WT? Which processing class should I be changing in this case?

Regards

    Hi Nav,
At least you have to set P65 to A and specify the wagetype in the view V_5UBA_WT.
However, why would you need to create a wage type from scratch but not copy a model/standard wage type?
I'd recommend taking a look at the documentation in SPRO steps (under spro/py USA/benefits), at the processing classes of the standard 401k wagetypes E*31, and the configuration in V_74F* and V_5UB*.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

I have a requirement to set up the 401K Roth plan in addition to the existing 401K Savings plans. I have done the entire set up and is working fine except for one issue.

Issue: 401k Catch Up Contributions and Roth 401k Catch Up Contributions are not currently sharing a combined maximum limit of $6000. Both plans each individually maxing out at $6000 which creates a possible over-contribution scenario.

I configured the rules and called them in the payroll schema but still the wage types are maxed out individually but not combinely. Here are some details about the configuration:

    401K catchup contribution wage types are 5EC1, 5EC2, 5EC3.

Roth 401K catchup contribution wage types are 5EC4, 5EC5, 5EC6

Constant 401CL has been maintained in T511P for $6000

Wrote the following rule to first consolidation all the amounts into a variable.

Next, wrote the following rule to limit the contribution to $6000. Below is the rule for one of the Roth 401K contribution wage types.

When I run payroll simulation, individual wage types are maxing at $6000 but not a combination. Please advise what am I doing wrong.
