Skill returns multiple messages instead of one in spite of separate conditions (bug?)

multiple-messages-01.jpgmultiple-messages-02.jpgmultiple-messages-03.jpgHi,

I've defined separate sets of conditions in my skill. It all worked fine this morning but I've added new sets of conditions and the bot returns multiple messages, which doesn't make any sense. It actually seems to mix them and answers randomly. Is this a bug?

I've attached some screenshots.

I'd be happy to share my prototype.

Thanks and best regards,

Francesco

There are a couple of things going on.

First, your conditions are almost all "matches", which can match to unexpected utterances.

Second, your deliverables entity has no enrichments.

If you set up an enrichment for the deliverables entitity, like "name", then you would use action logic "is" instead. If #deliverables.name is sap s/4hana cloud, play this message. Set up a name for each deliverable, and everything will be clean, and you won't need to track so many entities.

And there might be something wrong anyways -- your "chat with bot" button keeps disappearing on me. And your actions disappear. Not sure if that's a thing or not.

    • Hi Brenda,

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, I don't know how to proceed, as I've never done this before.

I was about to set up a short meeting to go through the steps together but I've realized you're not an SAP colleague.

      Thanks for your hints.

      Best regards,

      Francesco

    Hi Francesco Scibilia

Brenda Martins is right, it would be easier for you if you use custom enrichment for your entities (product, ...)

Then, for example, for the sentence "I need to know the SAP S/4HANA deliverables.", you have the answer twice because it respects 2 blocs of conditions.

So here is my advice :

1/ add custom enrichments for your entities

2/ simplify each condition by using it :)

    Best,

    Hi Francesco Scibilia

I suggest you to start by reading our Movie bot tutorial: https://cai.tools.sap/blog/nodejs-chatbot-movie-bot/

You will understand how to create a bot with custom entities and custom enrichments.

Then, you will be able to improve yours ;)

    Hope that helps!

    Aurélie
