I’m a newbie with SAP program, and my question is “how to deploy SAP GUI for over 100 clients? and that SAP GUI have to be set “the System ID, Number Instance ID, Application server, and SAP Router String” when the client open the SAP GUI application.

It will be great if anyone can share me the instructions or anything to relate with this subject to solve this problem.
I’m really appreciated for your helping me.

thanks and best regards

Hi - this blog can get you started https://blogs.sap.com/2013/06/20/sap-gui-installation-server/

A different scenario, we use Citrix, where the SAP Gui is installed once and everyone logs on to Citrix to access

But can you share with me How the SAP GUI on the client will be set automatically about the "System ID, Number ID, Application server and Router String" in the SAP GUI Installation Server when the SAP GUI Installation Server deploy the SAP GUI to client?

Hi Tammy Powlas,

Thanks for your helping me. Follow the blog, i just used the command on the client to test the system, but it's not working. it's only appear the NwSapSetup.exe, and wait a second. After that, nothing's happening. SAP GUI doesn't still install.

i used SAP GUI 7.60

thanks and best regards

Do you have administrator rights?

Hi Tammy Powlas,

I do Local security handling with distribution account is: user domain: administrator and for the installation services: with the administrator account domain, too. I try to run the NwSapSetup and got the errors:

"NwSapSetup was not able to grant you administrator rights, either because:

- The distribution service didn't respond,

- The installation service couldn't be started or the logon credentials for the installation service are incorrect.

please contact your system administrator."

Can you share with me how to configure the properties file for the automation setup connection to the server on SAP GUI?

thanks and best regards
