bac element

Is it mandatory to create a BAC element for a custom solution to make it visible in work center assignment (tenant) to assign to users.

Hi Anantha,

It is not necessary to create a BAC file in development tenant to make the solution visible in work center view assignment. You can just right click on the solution in SDK and click on Deploy Business Configuration(this is mandatory).

However you will have to create a BAC file if you wish to move this solution to any other tenant. The basic testing in the development tenant can be done with out the BAC file with the deploy BC option. Hope this clarifies your concern.

Thanks,

Hi Anantha,

BAC is a mandatory element which needs to be created in solution. Each solution will have one BAC element inside.

Solutions created in the studio require business configuration content that then appears as elements (BAC elements) in the catalog and allows administrators to implement solutions in the production environment as a scoping question wherein you will have an option to choose whether you want to use your custom solution or not.

Please have a look below.

As we all know ,if you are doing any development in SAP C4C , you can only do it in test or dev system ,once your development is done you can deploy into your target system (another test / production system).

Before the deployment , if your solution is not having BAC element ,you can't download it and can't do the further process.

Now come to your question--

If you are creating any solution in test system and have created a custom business object in it , you can assign custom work center to the user, without having BAC element.

It will not restrict you for work center assignment.

But as we know, later you have to create a BAC for deployment , its good to create in starting itself.

Hope it will help you.
