How helpful is SAP career for experienced mechanical engineer (Steel mill zone)??

I am a graduate mechanical engineer & having 6+ years of experience in the mechanical maintenance in Mill zone & also i'm an end user of SAP PM then

is it possible to switch my profession into SAP ?

if yes which module is suitable ?

what would be my salary range?

what are career risks?
