Technical Identification no for Equipment

Hi All ,

We have migrated list of equipment from one plant ( say XXXX) to another plant ( say YYYY) by creating new equipment no ( internal no ) keeping same technical identification . Now, when users search equipment using =F. , system is displaying 2 equipment no for each technical identification no & confusing all users . How can we suppress to display old equipment no ( under plant XXXX) from user interface ? I have one view that we can remove technical identification no from old equipment no but that will bar us to check the old equipment history . Please through some light on this .
