Hi expert!
I am working with the last version of SAP IBP (1908) and its DDMRP module, and we are trying to understand how the “Recommend Decoupling Points (Solve)” operator performs and I have one important doubt:
How can I force the operator to not set a PRODUCT-LOCATION as decoupling point?
I know that I can force it to set a PRODUCT-LOCATION as decoupling point using the attributes “Critical Operation Protection” and “Quick Turn Market Available” but the problem is how to do the inverse process.
Any idea?
Thanks you very much in advance!
Hi Monica,
I think you can do it using DDMRP Buffer Analysis app, you create a new scenario, switch the decoupling point off for that particular product-location combination, start the scenario, and promote it to base version.
In 1911 release, a new attribute is introduced in LocationProduct master data type, called 'decoupling point user input', then user can manually force the product-location combination as decoupling point or non-decoupling point as he or she wants.
Hope it helps,
Best regards,
Winnie
