back ground job variant selection parameters

we have 3 variants Background jobs ruining from past last six months . variant created with maintenance plans. now user didn't find order not created automatically , i checked with plan , actual that plan is newly created and not included in variant background job.

so every time if user created a new plan i have including new plan to variant .. what i think if i selected selection parameters like (PM, cal), now will already running plans will effect, in any way. please suggest, beacause add every time plans to varient is not suggestable.

    RSK GSK,

    A common option is to use the Sort field in the maintenance plan header to identify these 3 categories.

    Then you can use this same Sort field in IP30 to dynamically select the plans (i.e. no need to enter individual plan numbers).

    Also, I believe there is a new OSS Note that allows you to add the planning plant to IP30. Have a look for that..

    Its not normal to enter individual plan numbers into the IP30 variant for the very reason you explain above.

    How many IP30 variants do you have, and what are the differences?
