Hello Dears,
I have an issue for sending email for Campaign in SAP Marketing. We have created a communication arrangements "SAP_COM_0234 ( Marketing - Campaign Execution - Generic E-Mail Integration)" and "SAP_COM_0040 (Marketing - Campaign Execution - SAP Mobile Services Email Integration)".
This created a sender profile. while trying to Update the Email in the Sender Profile a pop-up message as below :
Saving sender profile Generic Email adapter - GNML (GNML) not possible ( Forbidden ).
also I don't know what is the url to be maintained in the Communication arrangement to send the email.
anyone can help?
Br,
Mohamed
Hi Mohamed,
for SAP Digital Interconnect service provider, you have to set up the communication arrangement in the Communication Arrangement app using Scenario: SAP_COM_0040. This integration doesn't use SAP CPI as a middleware. For the Generic Email Provider you will set up a communication arrangement with the Scenario ID SAP_COM_0234. Here the emails will be sent to SAP CPI where custom iFlows have to be implemented. First, you have to implement iFlow "/verifiedSenders" method, or you wouldn't be able to modify/save the Sender Profile for the communication arrangement. Every time you click on Save in the Sender Profile the system is making the call to the /verifiedSenders in SAP CPI.

Hello Radim ,
in case i am using the communication arrangement through the scenario SAP_COM_0040 for SAP Digital Interconnect service provider , i won't use the CPI as middleware ? what shall i use in the part related to communication system and Rest URL to SAP Digital interconnect service provider ?
Also i don't have any ESP yet , shall i go through subscribing into SAP Digital interconnect or i have to go to custom ESP better ?
my customer has SAP Marketing Cloud up and running.
Hi,
Yes in the communication system you need to specify the REST API URL for SAP Digital Interconnect(DI) along with credentials for SAP DI and as Radim mentioned in his comment no need to use CPI as a middleware as it is an Out of the box P2P connectivity. Just a few configurations and it is ready to use
In general, SAP Marketing Cloud provides an Out of the box connectivity with both AWS and SAP DI as ESP within a few simple steps which are very well documented over help and blog post. They both have their own pro and cons, so it really depends on the use case, cost (in case customer already have a productive AWS account being used for other marketing activities), geolocation of the customer (due to local laws) etc etc.
Thanks
Saurabh
Thank You!

I get a 403 response even using my s-user account to login. What account is required to view the link? Or Is this link expire?

Hi Radim,
Thank you for your information, it have been very useful for me. Is it possible that you have the update version of URL that you provide in both past messages?. I need to implement the custom iFlow "/ verifiedSenders" but is not possible for me to enter to this information. I think that the URL has changed

Hi Mohamed,
"Custom Service Provider" means an email service provider (ESP). Which ESP will be used in your case ?

Hi Mohamed,
this is a custom iFlow that has to be built. All required methods (iFlows) are listed on this link
But you are mentioning SAP Digital interconnect; this relates to different integration setup. If you want to use SAP Digital Interconnect, you have to use another communication scenario.

Dear Radim,
Thank you for reply. I am trying to build the custom iFlow as you suggested.
Can you please elaborate more on what is meant by the "Custom Service Provider" in the receiver side as in the help documentation you sent?.
Where do we have to maintain this?
Appreciate your help on this.
Br,
Mohamed
Hi Mohamed,
have you already implemented iFlow "Get Verified Senders" in SAP CPI ? This method has to be implemented if you need to maintain sender profiles.
best regards,
Radim

Hi Radim,
is "Get Verified Senders" a Custom iFlow that we have to build?. Or it is a standard iFlow?.
If it is Standard, where Can i find this iFlow so that we can configure and deploy?.
Also I have read that we need to have an account on SAP Digital interconnect ( Correct me if I am wrong)?
However we don't have any information for this account.
Appreciate your guidance and feedback.
Br,
Mohamed
