User Authorization in Item Master Data

Hi Experts!

Good day!

Is it possible to restrict user from using specific item in a marketing document in SAP B1?

So, I was able to setup user authorization just so they can only see the items in a specific numbering series assigned to them. Say for example, User1 can only see items with 100- prefix in the series if he/she looks up directly in the item master data.

But when user creates a Purchase Request, all item would show up.

How do we setup authorization on this one?

Will appreciate all ideas. Thank you!

Hi,

There is no option to give full authorization for numbering series. Alternatively, try to create simple query to pull all item master data for only for purchase request.

You can use SBO Transaction Notification to restrict a user from using a specific item in each type of document.

you have to overwrite the standard SBO behavior. You have to use SDK and develope an addon to solve your question.
