New version of crystal report clashing with old one

Hi,

I have the old 64-bit version on my pc but when I try to upgrade to the newer version, the old version gets uninstalled. but the new will not run reporting for applications that ran perfectly well on the old version.

i did uninstall the new version and installed the old version and my reports ran perfectly.

is there a way around this? as I need to upgrade to the newer version for an application that also only runs on the new version.

can anyne advice pls.

I assume you are using CR for VS and possibly the latest version?

Read the info for SP 21 in the WIKI:

Explains how the old app can run using the newer SDK

Read the info for SP 21 on the WIKI page.

You need to remove the 13.0.2000.0 with 13.0.3500.0

See the Attached file to on the WIKI and KBA on how to rename the attached file to their app.exe.config, it redirects their app to use the older framework with the newer runtime. You/they just need to copy it to their folder where their EXE resides.
