i. How often are backups conducted?

ii. Can a customer initiate their own backup?

iii. Are backups available across different environment types (e.g. development, staging, production)?

iv. Are backups available for download? If so, in what formats?

v. Please describe the procedure for disaster recovery and expected communication.

vi. Have you suffered an outage greater than 24 hours? If so, please explain.

vii. Do backups count against the data storage requirement/what we’re paying for in terms of data storage?"

below is information on backup of SAP Marketing Cloud, if you need more information, please contact SAP Cloud Ops.

• S/4 Cloud Hana backup services are providing full daily backups and restorations. On a daily basis, a full database back-up of the Productive System is created and also transferred to a shadow data center in the same data center region. In addition, database log files are being backed-up with frequent intervals. These data back-ups can berestored in the primary data center. The backup cycle is 28 days, and there is the recover option : “point in time”, so that a customer can request the backup towards evening to be sure that the backup will cover all set-up and code deployed on it.
• To change the recover option, please raise IT ticket XX-S4C-OPR-SRV
• Full backup/Data backup cycle for P-system : daily/28 days, for Q-system : weekly/14 days, the back-up services are included in the subscription, please check it out
• Customers can restore the data of the Productive- and Quality Assurance system to any point in time within the backup cycle.

1. Most services provide automatic backups, so you can choose how often it happens

2. Of course, customers can do it themselves

3. Most G Suite cloud backup services offer you full control over your data

4. You can download your backups In different formats, it's up to you!
