Workaround to post consumption of a serial number activated component in MFBF

Dear All,

I am unable to post consumption of a serial number activated component in MFBF tcode for repetitive manufacturing.

I have gone through below mentioned posts and also SAP note 100621, and have understood that serial number activated component consumption is not possible:

My question here is what could be workaround to show consumption of such components in repetitive manufacturing so that I can capture cost of manufacturing correctly?

Hello,

There is no method or workaround available in REM for issue of an items with Serial number during Backflushing as per SAP system design.

It is not possible to post an automatic GR/GI for serialized materials within an order confirmation too. Please see SAP note 39230 for more details. The goods movement must then be executed manually in inventory management.

Dear Brahmankar,

Many thanks! I have thought of workaround as going through discrete route by creating a reference operation set and using CO07 tcode to create a special type of order for consumption of such serialised components. Settlement will happen on cost center as provided in settlement rule of the order in order to capture variance as these serialised components are not standard BOM but as and when on need basis their consumption is required.
