Can I apply HANA SPS11 backups to HANA SPS12?

Hi,

question regarding SAP HANA: can we apply SPS11 backups directly to SPS12 or will we have to upgrade SPS11 to SPS12?

in other words, is HANA SPS12 backwardly compatible with HANA SPS11 when it comes to full system and incremental backup restore?
