Enable PDI in the DEV tenant

Hi All,

Is there something which we have to do for enabling the PDI development in the Business Configuration scoping ? or it would just be the Business role and rights which will enable it ?

Thanks

Harsh Shah

    Hi Harsh,

Answer to your question is Yes. You can enable/disable a solution via scoping/descoping the scoping question for the solution manually from the business configuration.

Also in development and test tenant you can directly enable/disable solution from SDK itself. Open the solution-> Implementation manager-> You can see Enable/ Disable button. Clicking on disable button will automatically descope the solution from the business configuration as well. But if you want to enable the solution again, you will have to click on the enable button in SDK and also go to business configuration and scope it manually. In production tenant you will have to go to the business configuration in UI and scope/ descope manually to enable /disable the solution(no option to do this from SDK).

Hope I was able to clarify your concern this time.

    Thanks,

    Dhanya

    Hello Harsh,

If you have created BAC elements in your solution and assigned your solution content to a business option, you can perform scoping manually in the development environment of the SAP cloud solution. You must be assigned the Business User role and have access rights for the Business Configuration work center.

Alternatively, you can trigger the deployment of business configuration in the Solution Explorer by right clicking the solution and selecting Deploy Business Configuration(From SDK).

    Hope this answers your question.

    Thanks,

    Dear Harsh,

As my colleague already mentioned for testing purposes, you must be assigned the Business User role and have access rights for the Business Configuration work center.

Also you can scope or descope ( Enable OR Disable) the solution in the Business Configuration work center.

    1. Open the Implementation Projects view.

    2. Select a project and click Edit Project Scope.

The Edit Project Scope guided activity is displayed.

3 .The business topic or business option you created using the Business Configuration Wizard is displayed in the Scoping phase under Scoping Element.

4.The description and scoping questions you defined in the Business Configuration Wizard are displayed in the Questions phase.

    5. Make sure you Scope that question as well.

    Regards
    Anant
