S/4Hana DDMRP Buffer Levels

Hi together,

I have still problems executing the S/4Hana DDMRP.
The first steps (classifications) work fine.
In a next step, I want to calculate the Buffer Proposals as shown in the screenshot with "Always Adopt Proposals" enabled. The program also runs without errors, but I cannot see calculated Buffer Levels in the apps "Planner Overview" or "Replenishment Planning".

Do you guys by chance know, why there are no Buffer Levels calculated? (I checked in SAP table that e.g. ADU is calculated)

Thanks for your help,

Martin

Hello Shanmugam,

I have posted 261 movement type for my D1 material in past and for today, but stlll my ADU is zero. I have given 100 days as past days in DD classification APP.

Can you please advise as how you solved it?

Please check the filters through "Adopt filters". There might be some parameter, with a filter, which does not bring up the values.

Hi together,

I am bringing this topic up again, because I still have the problem that I cannot see entries in the Manage Buffer Levels and Replenishment Planning by Planning Priority apps.

I managed in the meantime to get the apps working and I can also see calculated values in MD04 for the products (after Buffer Proposals run), but I still cannot see entires in the apps.

Does anyone still have an idea where my problem might be?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

You can check area of responsibility in Fiori settings, adding MRP Controller and Plant will allow the display of your buffers.

Hello

Ideally, you should have access to the manage buffer levels app 🙂

Did you already run MRP for your materials after the buffer calculation? Do you see replenishment proposals created in MD04?

If you open the header details for a material with a DDMRP MRP type, you should see all the values calculated for this material, such as the safety stock, the reorder point and the maximum stock level.

Hi Caetano,

that is exactly my pain point. According to the log, everything is fine:

But I cannot see anything in the "Replenishment Planning" app:

Hi Martin

Did you check the manage buffer levels app, to check if a buffer was actually calculated for your material?

Hi Caetano,

that's another issue. Because my Fiori/Frontend is not up-to-date, the Manage Buffer Levels app is not working (different topic which I cannot change at the moment). That's why I thought with the "Always adapt" option I could skip this apps functionalities.

Hi Martin

In the Fiori App where you scheduled buffer proposal calculation you will have an icon showing the results, as you can see in the figure.

If you click this icon, you will have the details of errors that happened during the buffer calculation and you will find what was the problem with your material. See an example below:

Hi Caetano Almeida,

After completing "Schedule Products classification (DD)" with status "success", when I run "Schedule Buffer Proposal calculation" I face the following issue. Kindly help to resolve the issue.

Warning - ADU for the product xxx plant 1710 MRPArea 1710 is Zero

1. I performed continuously transaction for the material in the last 30 days for production order confirmation (at least 10 etnries are there).

2. I checked table MVER and the consumption details are there in the field GSV06.

3. I changed the MRP type (D1) and lot size (H1) on 29th June. I am running schedule buffer calculation on 30th June 2020.
