Automatic update of exchange rate in SAP ByDesign

Hi All,

We have foreign transactions and would rely on the exchange rate maintained on the system during invoicing. However, transactions are done hourly and exchange rate fluctuates daily, is there a way that we could automatically update the exchange rate table, without doing it manually?

    Hi Mara,

You can use the Manage exchange rates web service. The Web service interface Manage Exchange Rate In enables you to connect external applications to your system to create or invalidate exchange rate information in your system.

    Hi Mara,

It is possible to upload the exchange rates using MS Excel. Go to General Ledger work center --> Click on Edit Exchange rates --> Click on Import--> From Microsoft Excel --> Maintain the data in the excel as per your requirement --> Save Data to.

However, this option will allow you to upload multiple currencies exchange rates Manually. You will not be able to create any batch file to automate the process. But Yes, if you get the excel in the format which ByDesign system accepts, then you just have to click on "Save Data to" every time in the excel to upload real-time exchange rates. This will reduce manual efforts.

    Thanks & Regards,
