Chinese characters are not printing

Hi,

We recently upgraded our system from NW701 ECC6 EHP4 to NW731 ECC6 EHP6.

After the upgrade our China end-users are not able to print chinese characters, tcode they use is FB50/FB03. Locally saved files are printed properly with chinese words in it but printing from SAP directly is not working. So far we have tried with different device type which are specific chinese languagae; CHSAPWIN, CNLOCL, PDFUC, CNHPLJ4, CNPDF but nothing helped.

You can use Unicode Windows device type SWINCF to print as per point 2 of KBA 1657241. Or you can configure the UPE settings of note 1812076 using PCL or postscript device types.
