Cell definition

HI,

I have two structures in my query. One on the rows and the other in columns. The row and the column structures both have a formula, Average. Now I want to define an exception formula at the point of intersection of these two formulas, hence cell definition. My formula is very simple, it would add up the total along the rows for column1 and then divide it by a total in column 2. But I cannot find the individual elements in the structures in the formula editor in cell definition.

I hope I am being clear.

Please help.

My question should be re-phrased. All I am looking for is when I try a new formula in the cell editor, why am I unable to see the indvidual structure elements in the formula editor?

Can somebody please help.

Hi Ashmith,

In the Cell editor, for the cells that you need to use in your formula, right click and select New Reference. Then when you right click (in cell editor) to create a new formula you can see these 'reference cells' for use in the formula.
